Episode 9: Sex, Longing, and the One That Got Away
Some lovers leave footprints on our hearts, others leave scorch marks. And then there are the ones we never quite forget. This week on Matriarchy Mondays, we're talking about sex, desire, longing, missed connections, and those deliciously complicated "what ifs." Is it the person we miss, the passion we shared, or the version of ourselves we were when we were with them? Join us for an honest, sometimes cheeky conversation about the people, the memories, and the desires that linger long after the moment has passed.
Episode 8: The Call-Out…Accountability or Public Shaming?
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, we take on internet call-out culture and the complicated line between accountability and public shaming. When does speaking up create necessary change, and when does calling someone out online become performance, punishment, or a digital pile-on? We explore responsibility, discernment, community, and what it means to hold people accountable without losing our humanity in the process.
Episode 7: Emotional Safety in Women’s Friendships
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, we explore the power, beauty, and sometimes complicated truth of friendships between women. We talk about the women who witness us, hold us through change, challenge us, and remind us who we are, and why these relationships can become some of the most sacred bonds of our lives.
Episode 6: Sacred Pilgrimage & What Broke Us Open
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, Yeshe, Devanna, Sarah, and Kat explore the meaning of sacred pilgrimage and the journeys that have changed them from the inside out. Together, we share personal stories of traveling to sacred places, encountering the spirits of the land, honoring the beloved dead, and experiencing moments of connection that could not be explained away. We reflect on what it means to arrive somewhere as one person and leave as another. Join us as we ask what makes a journey sacred, what the land may be asking of us, and how pilgrimage can lead us home to parts of ourselves we had forgotten.
Episode 5: Life Initiations
In episode 5 of Matriarchy Mondays, we cover Life Initiations: what happens when life itself provides (or forces!) the initiation that yields fundamental changes in you: body, mind, and spirit? Who do we become when these initiations take hold, and how can we honor the former identities that contributed to our being and becoming. Click to watch!
Episode 4: Spirits of Place, Sacred Hearths
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, we explore spirits of place, the pieces of ourselves we leave behind as we travel, and the ways our homes become sacred hearths. We also ask what happens when we step away from obedience and punishment culture and instead choose curiosity, celebration, and creative resolution. A conversation about tending place, tending home, and tending the parts of ourselves that still need wonder. Click to watch!
Episode 3: Blood Mysteries
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, Kat, Devanna, Flora/Sarah, and Yeshe enter into a deeply personal conversation about the Blood Mysteries and the ways menstruation, menopause, cycles, and the changing body have been understood, hidden, celebrated, and shamed across generations. Beginning with reflections on the intense energy surrounding the recent eclipse, the conversation moves into the rhythms of the body and the ancient relationship between blood, cycles, intuition, healing, and sacred practice. The women share their own experiences of first menstruation, cultural and familial taboos, coming-of-age rites, menstrual blood as sacred substance, changing relationships with their cycles, and the unexpected grief and transformation that can accompany menopause. They also explore what is lost when menstruation is treated as something dirty, embarrassing, or purely clinical, and what can be reclaimed when women begin speaking openly about their bodies again. From moon-time ceremonies and menstrual art to hot flashes, womb wisdom, generational silence, and the wild second adolescence of menopause, this episode asks us to reconsider what we have been taught about women's blood and who benefits when its mysteries remain hidden. Because blood is not simply something the body sheds. Blood is life. Click to watch!
Episode 2: Written in the Bones | DNA, Lineage & What We Inherit
In this episode of Matriarchy Mondays, Devanna, Yeshe, Sarah, and Kat explore the threads that connect us to those who came before. The conversation moves through DNA, ancestry, lineage, inherited memory, family patterns, identity, and the ways our histories can shape us long before we fully understand them. From the stories held in our families to the deeper question of what may be carried through generations, the four women reflect on what it means to know where we come from and how that knowledge influences who we choose to become. This is a conversation about inheritance in all its forms, biological, emotional, cultural, and spiritual. It is about honoring our ancestors without being bound by every pattern they passed down, recognizing what deserves to be carried forward, and deciding what ends with us. As always, Matriarchal Mondays brings four different perspectives to the table, with curiosity, laughter, lived experience, and plenty of room for the conversation to wander exactly where it needs to go. Some things are written in our stories. Some may be written in our bones. Click to watch!
